What is a Carolina Dog?
The Carolina Dog, also known as the American Dingo, is a unique and ancient breed that has survived for thousands of years in the wilds of the southeastern United States. This breed is believed to be a descendant of the pariah dogs that accompanied the earliest Native American settlers. Carolina Dogs are known for their striking appearance, characterized by a tan coat, erect ears, and a curled tail. They are highly intelligent and independent, making them excellent hunters and watchdogs. While they may be wary of strangers, they are loyal and loving with their families. Carolina Dogs are known for their adaptability, but they thrive in environments with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
